Shipping, taxes and promotions
Shipping methods by zone, automatically configured taxes, and promo codes.
Shipping
Open Shop › Shipping.
- For a quick start, load your country’s Carrier Presets (Load button): their zones and starting rates are ready to adjust.
- Or click Add Shipping Method to create your own method.
- For each method, define one or more Shipping zones (countries covered) and, for each zone, a flat rate, a rate by weight or a rate by order amount.
- If needed, set Free shipping above: the amount from which shipping is free in that zone.
Service or Digital products do not require shipping.
Taxes
Open Shop › Taxes.
- Check that the merchant’s country and the countries of sale are filled in on the General tab.
- Click Auto-configure: TOWeb creates your country’s rates and, within the European Union, the rates of the buyer’s country (OSS scheme).
- Choose the Price Display Mode: Tax incl. (consumers) or Tax excl. (businesses), and the Default tax rate.
If your countries change
If you later change your merchant country or countries of sale, TOWeb warns that taxes, shipping and payments may need reviewing. Check them, then click I’ve reviewed this.
Promotions
The Promos tab creates discount codes:
- as a Percentage, a Fixed amount (cart) or (product);
- Free shipping, a shipping discount, or Buy X, get Y.
For each code, you can set a minimum amount, restrict the products or countries concerned, the number of uses and the validity dates.
