Website builder software for Mac

TOWeb is website builder software for Mac: a native macOS application, signed and notarised by Apple, that runs on Apple Silicon Macs as well as Intel Macs (macOS 13 Ventura or later). The Standard edition is free with no time limit, the paid editions are bought once. The site is built on your Mac, without a connection, then published with the host of your choice.

Updated on 25 October 2026.

A real Mac app, not an adapted version

TOWeb installs on your Mac like any other application: signed and notarised by Apple, it opens without a warning message, and it runs natively on Apple Silicon chips (M1 and later) as well as Intel Macs. It requires macOS 13 Ventura or later.

The same application exists for Windows, with the same features and the same editions: a site started on a Mac opens on a PC and vice versa, it is the same project. You depend on neither a virtual machine, nor a browser, nor a subscription to work on your site.

What you do without a connection on your Mac

With TOWeb, the site is a project on your Mac, not a page open in a browser. On the train, on a plane or in a house without fibre, you:

  • create the site, choose its style and organise its menu;
  • write your pages, your posts and your product sheets;
  • add your photos and documents;
  • see the site exactly as it will look online, on desktop, tablet and phone;
  • have your texts written or corrected by a local AI (Ollama), if you install one on your Mac.

Only publishing to your host needs the network, and you launch it when you have it. The detail of what works with and without a connection: build a website offline.

Mac software or online builder?

On the Mac, most of the solutions on offer are online builders: you create your site in Safari or Chrome, and everything lives with the service. Installed software reverses the principle: the site is yours, on your Mac, and the service plays no part. Here is what that changes.

How much does TOWeb cost on Mac?

The Standard edition is free, with no time limit, no account to create and no credit card. It has its limits, and here they are: the mention “Created with TOWeb” on the site, a single published site (50 MB at most), a single language, and a store and bookings in demonstration mode. It nevertheless publishes a real site, under your domain name, with the host of your choice.

The Premium, e-Commerce and Studio editions are bought once, with no subscription and no commission on your sales, and TOWeb 15 updates are included. The editions and their prices are the same on Mac and Windows, and the purchase is made in the software, from the Licence screen. The details: see the pricing.

Moving from a PC to a Mac, or do you have an older TOWeb site?

TOWeb 15 for Mac imports your sites made with TOWeb 5 to 14, whether they were created on a Mac or a PC: it makes a copy, and the original is never modified. You get your pages, images and menu back in an up-to-date style, and you publish when the new version suits you. How it works: import your site.

Coming from an online builder? On trial in every edition, an AI assistant connected to TOWeb reads your site online and rebuilds its pages, images and menu in TOWeb; putting the rebuilt site online comes with the Studio edition.

Frequently asked questions: building a website on Mac with TOWeb

Is TOWeb available for Mac?
Yes. TOWeb 15 is a native macOS application, signed and notarised by Apple, that installs like any Mac app. The same application exists for Windows.
Does TOWeb run on Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3, M4…)?
Yes, natively, with no translation layer, and also on Intel Macs. It requires macOS 13 Ventura or later.
Can you build a website on a Mac without an internet connection?
Yes. With TOWeb, the site is built entirely on your Mac: pages, posts, products, photos, phone and tablet preview. Only publishing to your host needs the network. An online builder, on the other hand, stops as soon as the connection drops.
Is TOWeb for Mac free?
The Standard edition is free, with no time limit, no account and no credit card. It publishes a real site with your host, with its limits: the mention “Created with TOWeb”, a single published site, a single language, a store and bookings in demonstration mode. The paid editions are bought once, with no subscription.
Can a site started on a Mac be continued on a PC?
Yes. The project is a folder, identical on Mac and Windows: copy it, open it in TOWeb on the other computer, and carry on. Your licence is deactivated on one computer and reactivated on the next, from the Licence screen.
How do I publish my site from a Mac?
From TOWeb, by FTP or SFTP, with the host of your choice: you enter the access details provided by the host once, then publish in one click. No transfer application to install.
Does a site created on a Mac display properly on Windows, Android and iPhone?
Yes. TOWeb generates a standard website, in HTML and CSS, that every browser displays; the styles are designed for desktop, tablet and phone, and you see all three in TOWeb before publishing.
Do you need to know how to code to build a website on Mac with TOWeb?
No. You choose a style, write your content in ready-made blocks, and the site is generated. If you can code, the paid editions accept your custom code.
