Writing with AI

Where to find the AI

• Generate a page (Pages screen): describe the page you want (“a Pricing page with three plans…”), then Generate and Create the page.
• Write with AI: type / in a page, choose Write with AI, then give your instruction; the passage is written where the cursor is.
• AI Content: again with /, generate a complete block (Text, Features, FAQ, Testimonials, Statistics, Pricing plans, Team, Timeline…), then Insert into section.
• Edit with AI: select some text and click ✨. Choose Fix spelling & grammar, Simplify, Shorten, Expand, a tone (professional, warm, persuasive), Translate, or write your own instruction.
• Generate with AI: the button next to certain fields, such as a product description or the SEO description.

Choosing your AI

Open TOWeb Settings › AI, or click the AI indicator in the top bar. Three modes are available:

• Local (Ollama): the AI runs on your computer and works offline; your texts never leave it. You need the free Ollama app and about 8 GB of memory. TOWeb detects Ollama, recommends models suited to your machine and downloads them for you.
• Your key: your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral or Google key. You are billed by your provider; the key is stored in your system’s vault (Keychain on Mac).
• Lauyan Cloud: for short texts, with a quota that depends on your edition.

The Standard edition offers the Local and Your key modes, plus the Lauyan cloud as a free demo: a few text requests, no image creation. With a paid edition, the Lauyan cloud has its own quota.

Working without AI

The AI features switch turns off all AI: TOWeb then loads no engine and sends nothing. The editor, theme, preview and publishing work exactly the same.
