Getting to know the TOWeb screen

The sidebar, the top bar and the Project screen: where to find each feature.

The sidebar

On the left, the sidebar leads to each part of your site:

  • Sites: the list of your sites;
  • Project: the overview of the open site;
  • Theme: the style, colours, fonts, shapes and effects;
  • Pages: the editor, where you write directly on your pages;
  • Blog: your posts;
  • Shop: products, collections, payments, shipping, taxes and promotions;
  • Booking: what your visitors book (rooms, appointments, classes…);
  • Documentation: the help articles or user guide you publish on your site;
  • Media: your images, videos, sounds and documents;
  • Settings: the site’s settings (general, SEO, languages, i-Services, cookies…).

At the bottom of the bar are Support, TOWeb Settings (the settings of the application itself: appearance, language, backup, updates, AI) and your licence; with the free edition, this is the Upgrade to Premium badge. On Mac, ⌘, also opens TOWeb Settings.

The top bar

  • On the left, one tab per open site. The Switch site menu gives access to recent sites and to Open a site….
  • On the right, the AI indicator shows the writing engine in use (click it to change), followed by the save status, the Undo / Redo buttons, and finally Preview (your site as your visitors will see it) and Publish (putting it online), available on every screen as soon as a site is open.

TOWeb saves your work as you go: the indicator shows Saved with the time. Clicking this indicator opens the version history.

The Project screen

This is the overview of your site. Here you will find:

  • Pick up where you left off: the most recently edited items, to get back to them in one click;
  • the number of pages, products, posts and media, with what is not yet published;
  • the items to check before going live (a missing site address, for example), with a Fix button;
  • the Publishing status, the Open the site button and the Dashboard button, which opens your site’s online dashboard once the site is published;
  • What changed: recent activity on the site.

A display setting

The application can be displayed in light or dark mode, with a compact, standard or airy density: TOWeb Settings › General.
