Create your first site
Choose a style and your line of business: TOWeb prepares the starter pages, texts and images.
Start creating
From the home screen, click Create a new site. The creation wizard has two steps: Style & type, then Details.
Step 1: style and site type
- In Site type, type your line of business in the search box (“baker”, “osteopath”, “plumber”…) or pick it from the list. The type prepares the starter content: pages, texts and images.
- Choose a style in the gallery. Styles with the Recommended badge are particularly well suited to your business. The Enlarge button shows a large preview, and the arrows move from one style to the next.
- Click Continue.
Step 2: final details
- Enter a Site name.
- Choose the Location of the site folder with Browse….
- Choose the site’s Primary language.
- In Features, tick what you need: Shop, Blog, Booking, Contact form. Everything can be changed later.
- Click Create site.
TOWeb creates the pages, with sample content suited to your business: for example a blog with two posts, or a shop with three products. All that’s left is to replace these texts and images with your own.
Avoid synced folders
If you choose a folder synced by a cloud service (iCloud Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox…), TOWeb warns you: syncing can damage an open site. Prefer a local folder, and make backups.
The style isn’t set in stone
