Whether it’s a blog, a professional showcase or an online shop, your website must comply with legal obligations designed to protect users, guarantee transparency and spare you financial penalties that can run to several thousand euros.
Thanks to the power of WebLegalAI’s artificial intelligence, a new LAUYAN SOFTWARE service, you can now generate all the legal documents your website needs in just a few minutes and at low cost!

Mandatory legal documents

By law, every website must include at least:

  • A privacy policy
Mandatory if you collect personal data (even via a simple contact form).
  • A cookie policy
Required if your website uses cookies (including those from Google Analytics).
  • Terms of use
Essential to govern how your website is used.
  • Terms and conditions of sale
    Indispensable for any e-commerce website.

Without these documents, you risk fines (GDPR, CNIL), disputes with your customers, or even the suspension of your website.

WebLegalAI: a considerable saving of time and money

Traditionally, having these documents drafted by a law firm costs between €1,500 and €3,000, with a lead time of several weeks. With the WebLegalAI online assistant and its artificial intelligence, you get legal documents that are 100% compliant in 5 minutes, perfectly tailored to your website, for just €19 to €29 per document!

How do you add your legal documents to your website?

Once your documents have been generated on WebLegalAI, you have 3 methods to add them to your website:

Method 1: Direct link to the WebLegalAI page

Quick and simple
- Less flexible (no changes possible without going back through WebLegalAI)

  1. Copy your document’s URL (e.g. https://weblegal.ai/documents/xxxxxxxxxx/)
  2. Add this link to your website’s footer and to your forms.

As well as being very quick to set up, this method is particularly suitable for a blog or a single-page website, such as a landing page created with PageXL.

Method 2: PDF export

Can be viewed offline

- Less convenient for updates

  1. Click the Print button on your WebLegalAI document page.
  2. Select Save as PDF in your web browser’s print options.
  3. Upload the PDF to your website.

Method 3: Copy and paste

Fully customisable and editable at any time

  1. Click the Copy button in your WebLegalAI document to then choose Copy HTML, Copy Markdown or Copy plain text, depending on your needs and the website builder you use.
  2. Then paste the content into a new page of your site dedicated to your legal document.
  3. For TOWeb users:
  • If you have version 13, you can use Copy HTML to paste them into the paragraphs of your sections. For versions 12 and earlier, you will need to use Copy as plain text and then adjust the formatting to your liking (for example, adjusting the styles of headings and subheadings, putting important words in bold, etc.).
  • If your document is the one covering your site's terms of use, since this page already exists by default in every TOWeb site (it is the last item in your list of sections), that is the one where you will need to do the "paste".
  • For all other legal documents (i.e. your site's cookie policy, your privacy policy and your terms of sale), you will need to create a dedicated page each time, containing just 1 paragraph into which you will "paste" the content of each of your WebLegalAI documents.
  • If you use a page dedicated to users' consent for personal data, be sure to specify it under "Options > Cookies & Privacy" so that it can be reused automatically wherever needed on your site (forms, cookie banner and acceptance window, etc.).
  • From the "Sections" step, add links in your site's footer to the various sections containing all your legal documents. Depending on how many documents you have and the content already in your site's footer, you may need to readjust the layout and number of columns of your footer. If so, this must be done from the "Theme" step.
  • Finally, make sure that each legal section you have created uses the "Disable indexing of this section" option.

Once your legal pages have been created this way, you can then make any adjustments you consider necessary. For example, if you do not want your email address to appear in your legal documents, you can replace it with a link to your site's contact form.
