The top bar of TOWeb indicates your progression during the creation of your Website and it also contains few buttons accessible at any time. Their meanings and roles are introduced below :

The 5 main Steps of TOWeb |
During the creation or modification of your website, you will go through the 4 different main steps :
- Start : is the very first step from where you will start, restart or update your website,
- Theme : in this step you will be able create the unique and personal design of your website.
- Topics : in this step you will be able to update all the content of your website,
- Settings : in this step you will be able to change optional or advanced settings related to your website and to the TOWeb's user interface
- Publish : is the last step where you will finalize your website, by using the spell checker first and then by publishing your website on your web space. You may also decide to notify your contacts and archive a copy of your website.

Build and Preview your Website |
With this main button you can build and preview your website locally on your machine. Use it whenever you need to verify that the results meet your expectations and navigate through all the web pages of your website. Note: you may indifferently this button or the F12 key of your keyboard to Build and Preview your website at anytime.

Help and Support |
Click on this button (or hit the F1 key of your keyboard) to open the online documentation of TOWeb.

License |
This button gives you access to your TOWeb license information. In this screen you will the TOWeb version number as well as the TOWeb Edition you are currently using (Free Edition, Personal Edition, Professional Edition or E-Commerce Edition). and version information. To upgrade to another edition, click on the appropriate Buy now" button; you will be automatically redirected to the order form to purchase your upgrade.

TOWeb's bottom bar |
| Depending on the situation, the bottom bar may contain 1 or 2 buttons to navigate backward and forward into the steps of TOWeb. |

According to the context and also their name:
- The button on the left side will either bring you back to the previous step or will cancel your changes,
- The button on the right side will move you to the next step or will validate your changes.

Keyboard shortcuts in TOWeb |
- F1 : Help
- CTRL+F1 : Open the support dialog box to submit your request or problem
- F5 : Go to the "Start" step
- F6 : Go to the "Theme" step
- CTRL+F6 : Enter directly in theme modification
- F7 : Go to the "Topics" step
- F8 : Go to the "Publish" step
- F9 : Go to the "Settings" step
- CTRL+F8 : Open the host configuration dialog box
- CTRL+SHIFT+F11 : Go the TOWeb's settings step
- F12 : Build and preview your website
- MAJ+F12 : Same as F12 but rebuild the entire content of your website before to preview it. This might be useful if you see corrupted files or strange result in your website preview
When editing your topics you may also use the following shortcuts:
- CTRL+UP/DOWN : Navigate through your list of topics
- CTRL+UP/DOWN : Navigate through the paragraphs or information panels or photo album pictures
- CTRL+SHIFT+UP/DOWN : Navigate through the items of a catalog
- F11 : Maximize or minimize the text editing area of a paragraph
- ALT+ENTER : Open the image editor if the current paragraph contains a picture
- Esc : Display a text preview without any formatting characters when editing the text of paragraph.
