TOWeb e-Commerce features

How to access to the e-Commerce features ?

Click to zoom the imageYou can access and activate the e-Commerce features from the Settings step of TOWeb. For further details click on the picture aside to enlarge it.

Payments from your website require the use of at least one catalog with both its prices & shopcart options activated.

In addition to different type of payments, the e-Commerce features provide the support of  VAT and shipping prices per country as well as the customization of the order form of your website.

How to add a new payment mode ?

You can add other payment modes to your shopping cart like check or wire transfer with the "+" button located above the payments list in the shopping cart payment configuration dialog box. If the payment you are looking for is not present in the list, you will need to add one (the closest to your needs) and customize it. For example if you want to add a payment by cash, select the payment template "Check" and update the instructions for this new payment mode.
If you want to use another secured credit card payment service than PayPal (like for example the credit card payment service of your bank), you need to add your own payment script and copy/paste your "Custom script" into the field located under the Payment script tab and specify the scripting language to use (HTML, PHP or ASP) in the "form action & script" tab located in the advanced payment information.
The creation of your own payment scripts requires advanced web programming skills on which no support will be made by Lauyan. The development of your payment script is not assisted by TOWeb and such script adapted to your needs will NOT be provided by the Lauyan support. To obtain such payment scripts, ask them to your payment service provider and have them customized to your needs by their services or by yourself. More information about other payments.

How to configure the PayPal payment in TOWeb ?

If you do not have yet a PayPal account, you will need to sign up for a new PayPal account from their website. Then indicate in the TOWeb's shopping cart payment configuration dialog the same email address as the one you used for Paypal. And that's it, your website will then be ready to go with the Paypal payment service !
If you want to customize this payment, you may change its title and its introduction message.
Since PayPal manages the billing & shipping information of your customers directly from the PayPal payment website, you do not necessarily need to activate the option "Use a custom form" for this payment, unless you want them to be also managed from your website (this option is not activated by default).
By clicking on the "Payment script" tab you may also access to more PayPal parameters such as the style of the Paypal payment button and the "return from Paypal" behavior (if you want your customer to be able to return to your website after proceeding to their payment or cancelling).

How to customize the order form ?

To customize the order form, click on the button "Advanced information..." and from the first tab named "Customer information" select the fields you want to add or remove from your form and indicate whether these fields are mandatory or can be empty. If you want your customer to indicate both a billing address and a shipping address, click on the second tab named "Shipping information" and check this option.
You may also want to customize any fields labels, open the TOWeb settings dialog and from the "General" tab click on the Customize button and update the any text content from the  shopping cart tab.

How to manage fixed shipping prices ?

From the tab "Shipping Information" located in the Advanced payment information dialog, you can specify up to 4 different fixed shipping prices per order. For each line, enter the starting amount limit from where the associated fixed shipping price will be applicable (or 0.00 if not required).
Example : if you want to have a $10 shipping price applicable for any order lower than $100 and free when greater than $100 then you will need to indicate the following values :
Order amount limit #1 :     0.01     Fixed shipping price #1 : 10.00
Order amount limit #2 : 100.00     Fixed shipping price #2 :   0.00
Important : Do not start any limit from zero otherwise you shipping charges will be considered are invalid/non applicable but starts from a 0.01 limite if it's a price or 0.001 if it's a weight.

How to add another payment with my own scripts ?

The e-Commerce features allow you to include your payment scripts but do not provide any programming assistance to create or maintain such scripts. If you do have sufficient programming skills to create the scripts, contact your payment providers to have the one recommended by their system and have them adapted to your needs.
Once you have your redirection payment script ready you need to copy/paste it inside the field located in the "Payment script" tab. If your payment system requires the use of a particular input hidden field to be transmitted thru the redirection form for the amount and/or the order number, then indicate their name and they will be automatically added to the form during the generation of your website.
Depending on your script language, verify that you have correctly specified the payment web page extension in the tab "Form action & script" located in the Advanced payment information. If you have more than one payment script, you may use and add additional script using the topic' script fields.
Be aware that your scripts will not run properly when previewed locally from your machine as they must run from a host server. As a consequence, we recommend you to backup your website before any important changes and while preparing or modifying your scripts, we recommend you to publish the testing version of your website to a different web space so that your visitors will still be able to use the working version of your website while you are preparing the new version with your payment scripts.
