You should carefully choose the word you use for it as it must stay as short as possible. In fact your title is longer that 60 characters the rest would generally be ignored by search engines.
- the description : The description generally contains one or two sentence to present the content of your topic. This text is also the one commonly displayed below a found link on the list of search results.
- the keywords : enter a list of keywords separated by commas (,) related to your topics. Please the most important at the beginning of the list and carefully check for typos.

How to make my images more visible to search engine ? |
Some search engine like Google can search for images on the internet. If you want your image to be taken into account you must correctly assign its filename and its ALT text. These two information can be accessed from the "Referencing (SEO)" tab of any image Properties in your topics.
The name of your image file should summarize in one or a few words what's on the image and must be entered without any extension (for example not finishing with ".jpg" because TOWeb will automatically add it for you) and must be composed only of alphanumeric characters, no accents nor spaces nor symbols except the underscore (_) that can be used as a word separator. The ALT text shall contain a narrative of your picture and can be composed of all the characters you want (spaces, symboles, latin accents, ...). The text entered for your image will also be the one that some users will see instead of your image if their web browser can not display images.
And if on the contrary you do not want the images of a topic to be indexed by search engines then you need to check the option Do not generate any ALT referencing tag for the pictures of this topic and you may also consider using prohibition through a robots.txt file. |

How to use the Google services in my website ? |
In addition to submit your site to the Google search engine, Google offers free services handled and assisted by TOWeb. To configure them in TOWeb you first need tp open a Google account. These TOWeb options are available in the "Settings > Google" screen and they include:
Google Diagnostic
Google provides an invisable tag you can place in your site to confirm that you are the owner. Log in to Google webmaster tools with your Google account to choose a verification method and select it thereafter in TOWeb. The simplest method that we recommend is to select the Add a meta tag verification and copy/paste the line of code that provided by Google. This code line should be like this one: <meta name = "verify-v1" content ="..." />
Google Analytics
This service from Google tells you how visitors arrived on your site how they explored and what you can do to improve the comfort of use. To integrate this service automatically to all pages of your website, simply connect to your Google account to know the code of your site and enter it in TOWeb. This code is of the form: UA-xxxxxx (eg UA-207352-3).
Sitemaps
A sitemap file is a file used by search engines such as Google to obtain more information on your website. Your sitemap file is automatically updated by TOWeb based on changes that you make especially for example when you add a new topic to your site. It is not necessary to create it yourself or use any other generator. All you need is to activate the option Let TOWeb generate a default sitemap for your website located in this tab: Topics > Referencing (SEO) > Sitemap and publish your site with TOWeb. If you wish, you can also prefer the option: Generate a sitemap file with customized information per topic in order to provide topic per topic a relative score between your topics to them start from a minimum 0 (indicating that this topic is the less interesting one of your site) and a maximum of 10 (indicating that this topic is the less interesting one of your site) and specify how often you update them.
Robots.txt file
The only reason you might need to use a robots.txt file is if you want to prevent search engine to index on your site. If you do not use a robots.txt on your site, Google may display a warning about this to remind you about this point but you can ignore it if you want your site to be fully indexed by search engines. This is usually not necessary for most sites, but according to your needs, you may create a robots.txt by yourself and add it to your site by clicking on the link "Add your own robots.txt file." For instance if you don't want pictures of your site to be indexed in the Google database you may include the appropriate Googlebot into your robots.txt file. |
